What it is
lolabot is the open-source framework 3Metas uses to run a business on a managed workforce of AI agents rather than on AI as a tool. MIT licensed, public. It is one piece of a larger system: a protocol for agents to talk across machines, AI Maestro as the dashboard to run them, and agents doing real delivery work.

The idea in one line
AI is a workforce you manage, not a tool you pick up. 3Metas went from 11 people in nine years to 136 agents in nine months by hiring and managing agents, not by waiting for better models.

How it landed
More than 200 people attended by our own count. RMAIIG has not published a figure; theirs corrects ours if it differs. The room responded well to the idea and the storytelling; the ten-minute slot ran fast. A recording is coming to YouTube — no link yet.
